The curriculum of The Graduate School of Economics is organized in accordance with the following curriculum policy based on Diploma Policy of the Graduate School.
Evaluation criteria are as follows.
- Students are evaluated based on the degree of completion of course objectives. Course objectives include understandings of academic theories and methodologies, and actual social situations.
- Students are evaluated throughout the process of working on the tasks, in respect of appropriateness of perspectives and analytical methodologies, capability to utilize and apply academic theories and methods, and overall attitude as a scholar.
- Students are evaluated comprehensively whether they have acquired abilities appropriate to be awarded a degree, based on the contents and descriptions of the outcome of research.

Curriculum comprises three subject categories:
- Inter-Majors Subjects category to nurture ethics as an expert, to develop communication skills required in a globalized society, and to acquire interdisciplinary perspectives through knowledge of various academic areas.
- Major-Specialized Subjects category to learn academic theories and methods as well as actual social situations.
- In Economics major, subjects for deeper understanding of the economic society from the viewpoints of economic theories, policies and applied analysis.
- In Business Management major, subjects for studying management of organizations, focusing on business management, accounting, and information science.
- In Market and Environment major, subjects for studying various environments surrounding markets, focusing on distribution, economic environment, and law.
- Research Seminar to develop competence to analyze issues, to find creative solutions, and to describe and express them logically and accurately.

Methods and contents of the classes are as follows:
- Lectures, to teach theories and academic methodologies that are necessary to understand and analyze the economic society from qualitative and quantitative perspectives.
- Seminars, to strengthen the ability to analyze and consider problems utilizing and applying knowledge and methodologies.
- 3Classes using dialogue to foster the ability to analyze issues from diverse perspectives, creatively solve them, and to describe and express the process.
- Classes by experts working in the regional area community, for understanding the actual social situation.
